Any additions/corrections are very welcome!

Hesperiidae

Pyrgus alveus (Hübner, [1803]):
in [Pljushtch et al., 2006] is shown as possible for the whole region with two spots from the southeast; in [Moskalenko, 1991] listed as rare; also shown by [Tshikolovets, 2003; Tshikolovets, 2005; Nekrutenko, Tshikolovets, 2005]. I am not aware of any concrete records from our region. I have excluded this species from the main list pending new information because P. armoricanus was recently confirmed; thus it is possible that our P. alveus records were results of misidentification.

Also mentioned in [Yaroshevsky, 1879] for Kharkov; in the collection of the Natural History Museum of Kharkov National University there are 19th century specimens from Kharkov and Kitsevka (now Pechenegi distr.).

The only specimen I am aware of is a female (Kuryazh, 3/VII/1885, leg. unknown) located in the Natural History Museum of Kharkov National University; identification confirmed by genitalia investigation.
