Uncommon and rather local. One generation, early July - August.
Early/late dates: June 30 - August 17.
There is a possibility of confusion with another species, Hyponephele lupina (Costa, 1836), which is quite possible for our region. The two species are not easily distinguished in the field. Any comments are welcome.
Habitat: dry meadows and steppes.
