Common but rarely numerous. Two or three generations, late April - early June and late July - mid September.
Early/late dates: 1st generation April 19 - June 5, 2nd and 3rd generations June 19 - September 19.
Habitat: meadows of various types, light woodland.
Remark: These two species are probably undistinguishable in the field (thus the information above concerns the whole complex). Genitalia investigation shows that both are present in our region (thanks to Julia Guglya who provided me with records of L. juvernica). Basing on the collection of the Natural History Museum of Kharkov National University and vouchers of myself, one can conjecture that in our region L. juvernica is much less common and more local than L. sinapis. More research concerning the distribution and biology of these species in our region is needed.
