Aricia agestis

Aricia agestis ([Denis et Schiffermüller], 1775)

Status uncertain, probably rare. I have seen agestis-type specimens of the genus Aricia just twice: on July 28, 2007, at Bochkovo, Volchansk distr., on a chalkhill slope (a male, in coll. Artur Choch), and on October 2, 2007, at Bezlyudovka, on a dry steppefied meadow.

Habitat: dry xeric meadows and steppes.

I tentatively assign xeric meadows inhabitants to this taxon. See discussion under A. artaxerxes allous account.
